|After a fun and fruitful trip to quilt market, we are back to the cold and windy! We hope warmer days are coming soon.
We enjoyed a few days in Portland, the flowers, trees and shrubs are gorgeous. Quilt market was grand and we brought home new tools, books, and notions; fabrics are on the way. The hardest part is choosing what to buy out of all that is available.!
One of our favorite finds is Eleanor Burn's new book. We were fortunate to visit with her for a few minutes, what a lovely lady. Her latest book Quilts from El's Kitchen is a delightful offering of sampler blocks and bright fabrics, along with some of her favorite recipes. Another winner from Eleanor!
We spent several hours looking at new fabric lines, oh the choices!
And speaking of new fabrics . . . look at some of the gorgeous bolts we have received in the last week.
Luscious poppy prints from Timeless Treasures . . .
A load of new minkee chevron and other textured tone on tone designs . . .
You will also want to see ( and touch) Timber Lodge, a new cabin/wildlife collection of flannels by Robert Kaufman. Sew , so , sew great for guys!
We must mention a new line of Java Batiks Macchiato . . . in delicious creams, caramels, rich browns and soft blacks. The photo does not EVEN do them justice. They evoke many project plans, very versatile. These are totally a must sew . . . oops! a must see.
While at market we found several new and fabulous books. There is literally something for every taste and project.
And these are just a few! We have several new samples made from various book projects. Come on in and check them out and watch for future mailings. It is so exciting to share all that is new with you!
